Article: Known for their company and passenger carrier reputation, Korean Air Lines is one of the most well known airlines in the business. Seoul Korea is the primary hub for South Korea's airlines. Domestic and international flights are provided by this airline that services nearly 50 countries. In addition to their passenger operations, they have a division that provides cargo hauling to international destinations. They have continued to expand their cargo hubs into various areas within the Asia. Research and development is a primary component of this companies focus within the aviation industry. Their primary mainstay is actually aerospace research within the Korean Air company. Korean Air, also known as KAL, which stands for Korean Air Lines, has more than 40 years of hard won experience which puts them in the place they are at today. There have been a high number of airlines which have had to put up with harsh conditions in many shapes and forms. KAL is no exception, and they did fail twice in their very early days from the late 40s to the early 60s. There is quite a bit of familiarity and expertise with the aviation executive assembly with Korean Air as they have many years of experience. That on top of quite a few intelligent moves with the exploration of cargo and aerospace puts this business as a frontrunner of the aviation industry connections. The headquarters for Korean Air Lines is in Seoul, Korea and their primary operations are known as Korean Air Operations Center. Within their home country, they do hold some littler operational location. What they have done is expand their different hubs which are specifically for different parts of their business. However, all of them are, not surprisingly, located with South Korea. They have both cargo and domestic hubs in the Jeju International Airport. They continue to open new cargo hubs at strategic locations within Asia, as well. The purpose is to provide a greater number of well-situated and low-cost flights for multiple locations in Asia to points which are in closer proximity to Europe. The award winning frequent flyer program for Korean Air is called, Skypass. There are various air carriers, which are quite large, that have some parallel programs. For example, a passenger has to log thirty thousand miles each year for two years. Besides, if you wish to become initiated into the Skypass program, you first need to accrue fifty thousand air miles. The Million Miler status and also the Morning Calm Premium status are some of the Elite Status programs which are made available with KAL. An added benefit is that after the status of these programs has been conferred, they are granted this for the rest of their lives. Also specializing in other areas of the aviation industry, Korean Air Lines has been branching out for years. Their involvement with the research and development department of aerospace allows them to participate in these areas. What they are doing is not that different from what every other airline also does. They endured a challenging period in which they had to struggle with unexpected events. This company, however, stayed in business and continues to improve to this day. A pivotal role in their success and revenues no doubt comes from their aerospace research. This company hopes to develop solid research relationships with the United States and other airline companies.
